Many Victorians are familiar with the well established Mettes name for their painting needs. Mettes Painting was founded by Johannes Mettes in 1958. An immigrant from Holland, John, as he was known, established a name for himself in Victoria as a knowledgeable, trustworthy, professional painter. His sons, Barend (Bob) and Anthony (Tony) later followed suit.

In 1982 John passed away and Bob carried on with the business until he returned to Holland for a few years in the late 80’s.
